ELPMIS NeXT Pro - Trainer (Robotics Course 101-103 Basic Level NXT) | Brief | Master the first steps in robot building using the NXT robotic kit. | | Objective | To apply this new knowledge to experience gears and levers in action. Students to learn about mobile robots. | | Description | Speedy robot! To let students learn how to utilize gears with a single motor to improve the speed. Students will realize the importance of bracing the robots for stabilizing the body balance.
Throw it! Students learn about levers in action, and what affects the actual throwing distance of projectiles, by varying the position of the load, fulcrum and effort.
Be agile! Using 2 motors, a completely mobile robot is actualized. Students get to program using the built-in programming environment.

ELPMIS NeXT Pro - Apprentice (Robotics Course 201-204 Intermediate Level NXT) | Brief | Move beyond robot building into programming and controlling the robot's behaviour. | | Objective | To let students experience robot programming with computers. To let students use sensors to help robots interact with their environment. | | Description | Move accurately! Students learn to program the NXT with the software on the computer. Students learn to control the new servomotors with precision. Every degree can be controlled.
Touchy touchy! They will learn to work with the touch sensor to detect when it hits the heavy target.
Watch dog, WOOF! With the light sensor, the students will be able to make their robot detect lines, even follow a black line along like a patrol robot.
Look ma, no hands! To detect an object from a distance, an ultrasonic sensor is used to make the robot attack an object that comes near. Advanced students will be able to make the robot stay at a safe distance from a given object, and even complete a full mission with multiple sensors.

Let the robot become a multimedia mobile station, and be capable of playing simple built-in sounds and graphics.

Your wish is my command! Inter robot communication can be demonstrated by robots controlling each other through master and slave robots behaving in sync.
